Taking this photo of Sami was not planned at all. We walked around the school and looked for places that would have interesting lighting so we went to the third floor balcony and used the natural light from the sky lights. So we went to the third floor balcony and used the natural light from the sky lights. It was in formal, I didn’t even tell Sami to pose. I told him to stay where he was and I just took the picture. It is more interesting capturing a natural and un-posed facial expression because it looks more realistic. I took a series of different posed and un-posed photos all around the school. They were mostly just point and shoot, because I wanted to capture a natural look. I added a slight blue tint to the photo to make it reflect his facial expression better. He has a scared and mysterious look on his face and It looks like he’s pondering something in his mind. This is a “looking on” photo that I simply took when I saw Sami lean on the railing. The leading lines guide us into the subject and I added the blue tint to try and reflect his emotions. Other than those small things, I did not manipulate the subject in any way, it is just a simple and natural photo.
